2006 Camping Trip to the Greenway in Ocala

It was unanimous that everyone had a blast at camping this year. The cooks - Dale Byrd, Woody Baker, Bill Harwell and Malcolm Keene provided everyone with delicious food and great service.
The weather was cooperative. We had a little bit of rain on Friday night, but it wasn't the downpour that we expected. The nights were pretty chilly - as they always are, but the days always warmed up to a comfortable temperature. Even the campers who didn't ride had a great time visiting, shopping and just doing whatever. We enjoyed having some guests join us in the camping trip. A lot of you know Carmen & Malcolm from the Fair. Carmen now realizes what "fast rides" are all about! haha! We also had Steve & Amy and Mark & Denea (pronounced DeNA) as well as Jeff, Herb, Nikki and their children. I know the guests got to see the unity and fellowship that makes our club so great!! It was an awesome week as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This year we had our biggest crowd ever. There were a lot of people, kids and horses. We had great food, great friends, great music, great weather, and great rides.

A special THANK YOU to all of the camp cooks. Being able to all sit down 3 times a day and spend our meals together was so wonderful. Not to mention the best camp food I have ever had. Actually it was the best food ..... period!!! It was a lot of work for you guys but we love you for it!!!

2001 Camping Trip to Dupuis

What an experience! We were all so excited to go to Dupuis for the night..... after hours of preparation, we arrived at Dupuis around 5 on Saturday night...

Unfortunately, there were no stalls or paddocks to be found.. We toughed it out and tied the horses to the trailers and the trees for the night.

Other than Kuboda taking a midnight stroll and Reina coming face to face with an armadillo, all the horses were quiet and for the most part, we woke up ready for a great day of trail riding!

Bill was our cook and what a cook he was! He made a home-made oven out of cardboard and baked biscuits for sausage and gravy.... mmmmmmmmmm it was so good! We all patiently waited for him to serve :)

A great time was had by all!

Without any problems, we all got safely back to camp after about three hours of roaming the woods! What a blast!
