As the old saying goes, it's not bragging if it's true. The South Florida Mustang Club made a wonderful showing at the 54th Annual Labor Day Rodeo Parade in Okeechobee. The parade organizer personally came over to our group and thanked us for coming and advised that we had a spectacular presentation.

He not only enjoyed our riders and horses, but was especially complimentary of the fact that we brought our own clean up crew and that our manure wagon was decorated as a float (an authentic looking covered wagon!! - thanks Ed). We also provided our own sound system (thanks Woody) and we proudly displayed the club banner for all to see and enjoy.

The South Florida Mustang Members were invited to join the Okeechobee County Cattlemen's Association, Inc. for there 75th Anniversary Labor Day Parade. It was on Sept. 3, 2001 bright and early. We had to be there at 9:00am for the Parade to Begin at 10:00am.

It was a very HOT Day 100 degrees, but despite that heat we all had a BLAST and to top off the day we were notified that evening that our Drill Team impressed a lot of Folks.

To our Surprise we WON a nice size check for The Best Non-Profit Organization. We were not even aware that we were in a competition. There were 700 entries judged on Costumes, Lines and Originality.

Way to go Mustang Drill Team!!
